the 24pico, and price structure changes

When we started selling machines, we made the decision to create an all in one price. You see the price, and that's what you pay. It included shipping, and for USA customers it included taxes and tariffs.

We though this was great and would lead to less surprised and confusion.

It did not. It in fact led to the perception especially among Americans that the machine was far more expensive than it was, because they not only assumed there was fees on top of the sticker price, they also assumed the price was in USD. Add to that many customer choosing very expensive spindles and hardware led to the misconception that the lemontart 33metal was well over 10000USD to complete a build. It just isn't. You can definitely make it cost that much choosing a $4000 spindle and ATC and 4th axis of course. But in fact you can do more basic builds as low as $6000USD pretty easily outside the USA and under $8000 inside the US.

In addition to all of this, there are many new low-medium cost hobby machines cropping up, and we really need a fair apples to apples price comparison.

So along with the upcoming launch of the lemontart 24pico machine kit, we will be changing the pricing structure of the 33metal (and other products) to be a base price, in YOUR local currency, with shipping, taxes, and tariffs applied in the shopping cart.

The new base price of the 33metal therefore will be $3199usd with a 7075 aluminium table and spindle clamp, or $4499cdn. The actual end price you pay for the machine has not actually changed, but it is now split apart. We are also looking into a lower cost boat shipping option for kits bundles with servo, enclosures, etc.

We also are looking to enable instalment payments via shopify and paypal. We disabled this because it costs us 3.7% of the price - over $150usd on the 33metal - to allow this and because we run a slim margin, we just turned it off. We now realise a LOT of people used these financing terms to be able to manage what is a relatively large expense. So we are looking to turn that back on, in a way where we don't simply add $150 to the price for everyone. If you are looking to use these finance terms to pay for your machine, contact is and we will see what we can manage.

Speaking of bundles, you may have noticed Leadshine servos are now available. With the launch of the 24pico, we will also be streamlining accessories. There will be a full set of accessories the brolly ATC, T-slot and vacuum tables, the index block, and some other items for both machines available to bundle with the machine at purchase, saving on shipping and hassle. You will even be able to bundle in lemontart end mill 5 packs.

The lemontart 24pico will be launched soon. It is a simplified smaller, lower cost version of the 33metal. It still has all the same basic structure and performance, but it's cut down to 240mm x 200mm x 100mm travel and uses 5mm pitch ground ballscrews which results in a slightly slower top speed.
